The "torpedo tube" is the home of Pflotsam's mast raising pole (described on the Precision Owner's FAQ page). The tube is constructed from 4" PVC pipe with a threaded "clean out" fitting on each end. Also visible in this picture is the support for the lower unit of the engine and 2 of the centering guides added to simplify retrieval.
